Focused Practice, One Skill at a Time

Every app here is built around one narrow job. None of them tries to teach all of math at once, because that is how practice turns back into scrolling. Each covers a specific range of skills at the pace a student can actually sustain — number sense and arithmetic in the earlier grades, then fractions and pre-algebra, then algebra, geometry and test preparation. Progress is saved on the device, so a five-minute session picks up where the last one stopped instead of starting from zero.

Tip for parents: Pick the one app that matches the current school unit rather than letting a child sample all of them. Consistency on a single skill beats variety across several, and if something stops making sense the free Math Q&A is where a person explains it. Our guide on how tutoring apps help students succeed covers what practice software can and cannot do for you.
